Engines.
The F-150 has a family of options for what goes under the hood. The 4.2-litre V6 engine produces 202 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. Next in line at the powerhouse is the 4.6-litre Ford Triton® V8, with 231 horsepower and 293lb.-ft. of torque. The heavyweight of the family registers in with a 5.4-litre Ford Triton® V8 with 300 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. of torque. These beasts are designed to provide capable pulling power to get the job done. |

5.4L Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) Triton V8.
Many F-150s are equipped with this configuration of the 5.4L Triton V8*, and the gives you the power of choice at the pump. Just fill up with E85 (85% ethanol/15% gasoline), straight gasoline, or any combination of the two, and the engine automatically adjusts for hassle-free driving. The benefits of ethanol-based fuel include lower greenhouse gas emissions, and its production from renewable resources.

New Cargo Management System.
Multiple components add up to an exceptionally complete and versatile Cargo Management System. A - Cleats are rated at 272-kg (600-lb.) each (2 cleats per rail maximum).
A Front Header Bar option (not shown) provides addition cleat mounting across the front of the box. B - Optional Load Bars lock to the cleats with a single click, and T-channels accept common roof-rack accessories for carrying bikes, skis, etc., up to a 45-kg (100-lb.) maximum load.
C - An optional Bed Divider is rated to retain loads of up to 181-kg (400 lbs.) on the floor of the cargo box.
D -Optional composite Storage Bins can hold a hefty load. They lock to the side rail, preventing removal without a key, and are keyed to the ignition key for extra convenience.

The system stays on for 3 seconds after shifting out of Reverse, allowing you to confirm the security of your trailer hook-up.
