The Ford Bronco has always been a vehicle aimed squarely at enthusiasts, which is why Ford has just unveiled the first in a new series of special editions known as Horizon.
This first Horizon model draws its inspiration from the pink sands of Utah\'s desert, hence the name Desert Rising. As you\'ve probably noticed from the photos, pink is the dominant color throughout. Despite what some sources have suggested, this isn\'t a \"Barbie\" edition.
A Bold, Eye-Catching Design
The Bronco Desert Rising will be nearly impossible to miss thanks to its bodywork adorned with massive graphics featuring multiple shades of pink. The front Bronco lettering and part of the grille have also been painted pink. Buyers can choose from four exterior colors: white, black, gray, and red. Inside, the pink theme continues with numerous accents, including the seats themselves.
The Bronco Desert Rising is based on the Outer Banks trim, meaning it comes equipped with 35-inch tires, locking front and rear differentials, a raised suspension, shorter axle gearing, and all of the G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Terrain) drive modes. The Desert Rising package adds US$13,695 to the price, which is a fairly reasonable premium considering the model\'s exclusivity and the fact that it is likely to become highly sought after by collectors.
A U.S.-Only Exclusive
The Ford Bronco Desert Rising will be an extremely exclusive model, with production limited to just 1,000 units. Unfortunately, this special edition will not be available in Canada. However, Ford has hinted that the next creation in the Horizon program will be offered north of the border.
